Practice those facts!
Multiplication and division facts take a long time to master, and are essential to doing the bigger problems that 4th graders are asked to do. Help your child develop a regular study routine for spelling and math fact practice.
The news page of the website will keep you abreast of what is being taught in the different subject areas each week, and the class page will note special assignments such as book report due dates, along with the calendar.
Helping your child relate what they are learning in school to real life activities (measurement, handling money, researching for needed information etc.) is invaluable in furthering your child's education. Children need the combined efforts of parents and teachers in order to reach their maximum learning potential.

Attendance is so important!
Children miss important information that they need to have when they are absent. When your child must miss school for illness or necessary appointments, please make sure that they get their homework and any instruction they need in order to keep up with the class. Try to avoid tardies and early leaves when possible, to maximize the learning time for your child.
